Move Forward in Faith

This post is based on a Article from Ensign in Year 2013. It's called "Move Forward in Faith." I loved how it starts with a question because it relates to some of us may ask that question. "What should you do when you have to make a decision and you've prayed about your choices, but you're still unsure of what to do?"
I will share with you some highlights that I got out of reading this Article. There is so much to learn from this Article.

"One thing you can’t forget is to involve the Lord in your self-improvement. Pray and remember that the Lord promised that if you come unto Him, He will help you and turn your weakness into strength (see Ether 12:27).

Proceed with Trust - Elder Richard G. Scott
“What do you do when you have prepared carefully, have prayed fervently, waited a reasonable time for a response, and still do not feel an answer? You may want to express thanks when that occurs, for it is an evidence of [Heavenly Father’s] trust.

When you are living worthily and your choice is consistent with the Savior’s teachings and you need to act, proceed with trust. As you are sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit, one of two things will certainly occur at the appropriate time: either the stupor of thought will come, indicating an improper choice, or the peace or the burning in the bosom will be felt, confirming that your choice was correct. When you are living righteously and are acting with trust, God will not let you proceed too far without a warning impression if you have made the wrong decision.”

Reference: Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “Using the Supernal Gift of Prayer,” Ensign, May 2007, 10.

Don’t Take Counsel from Your Fears - President James E. Faust
“Let us not take counsel from our fears. May we remember always to be of good cheer, put our faith in God, and live worthy for Him to direct us. We are each entitled to receive personal inspiration to guide us through our mortal probation. May we so live that our hearts are open at all times to the whisperings and comfort of the Spirit.”

Reference: President James E. Faust (1920–2007), Second Counselor in the First Presidency, “Be Not Afraid,” Ensign, Oct. 2002, 6.

Wait Patiently for Revelation - Elder David A. Bednar
“The gradual increase of light radiating from the rising sun is like receiving a message from God ‘line upon line, precept upon precept’ (2 Nephi 28:30). Most frequently, revelation comes in small increments over time and is granted according to our desire, worthiness, and preparation. Such communications from Heavenly Father gradually and gently ‘distil upon [our souls] as the dews from heaven’ (D&C 121:45).”

Reference: Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “The Spirit of Revelation,” Ensign, May 2011, 88.

Know That God Will Provide - President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
“During [a] busy season of my life, Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin extended a call to me to serve as stake president.

“During my interview with him, many thoughts raced through my mind, not the least of which was the unsettling worry that I might not have the time this calling would require. Although I felt humbled and honored by the call, I briefly wondered if I could accept it. But it was only a fleeting thought because I knew that Elder Wirthlin was called of God and that he was doing the Lord’s work. What could I do but accept?

“There are times when we have to step into the darkness in faith, confident that God will place solid ground beneath our feet once we do. And so I accepted gladly, knowing that God would provide.”

Reference: President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, “The Why of Priesthood Service,” Ensign, May 2012, 59.

Overcoming Our Mistakes

This post is based on a Article from Liahona in July 1981 called "Overcoming Our Mistakes by Lowell L. Bennion." I love the Image below.
It is so true and we always need to ask Heavenly Father for assistance, guidance, help and support to make real change happen. We also always need to act upon the real change and continue make a habit of changing.

I will share with you some highlights that I loved during reading the article.

"The second suggestion I have is that we ought to realize that no matter what we’ve done in life, no matter what we do, God and Christ still love us just as much as they did before we failed. God and Christ do not separate themselves from the sinner, from the wrongdoer.

I remember a missionary who had just recently returned from the mission field who came into the Institute of Religion when I was there. He had committed a grave mistake that caused him to think that his life was ruined forever. And I said to him, “God loves you just as much today as he did last Thursday,” and he couldn’t believe it. The thought had never occurred to him.

He wept like a child. You know, sometimes we think that God loves us to the extent that we please him, to the extent that we’re good boys and girls, good men and women. Love from God is not earned. It is not merited; if it is, it is justice and reciprocity and reward. Love comes from a loving heart, and God’s love is unconditional.

And he loves the worst of us and the best of us equally, I believe. We cause him to suffer when we do wrong, when he sees us live our lives in ways that destroy us, and when he sees us hurting other people this must cause him pain.

Therefore, the reason we have to repent is to be able to forgive ourselves and to be able to get in harmony again with the principles and laws of good living. We don’t have to repent to earn God’s love, even though some scriptures portray him as being very angry with the sinner. Others portray him as angry with sin, not with the sinner.

Another way to overcome the past is to make amends. We know when we’ve done wrong, but sometimes we’re afraid to go to those whom we’ve wronged. We are too proud to admit our failures. But when we have the courage to do it, we find that a great reconciliation takes place.

It’s the offended person’s responsibility to react to our efforts to be reconciled. And when we can’t compensate a person for a wrong, when it’s too late or impossible, then we can bless other people. We all belong together in this world. We’re brothers and sisters with the same Eternal Father; we belong to the same human community. There are others we can bless, though we can’t repair the damage we may have done to some of his children."

In your own time, you can read the whole talk, Here's the link below, and I hope you will enjoy reading it. www.lds.org/liahona/1981/07/overcoming-our-mistakes

Always try to find time and talk to whoever is making the mistake. Tell them how you feel, be honest and don't be afraid to share with him or her or them this article. It takes a lot of progress of repenting if the mistake doesn't get dealt straight away.

Happy 13th Birthday Rebekah!

Short and sweet post.

Happy 13th Birthday to my youngest sister Rebekah and I hope she will have a great day!
It is hard to believe that Rebekah has 6 weeks left of her first year in High School.
It is hard to believe that Rebekah is 13 years old and she is a teenager now.

I was 6 years old when Rebekah was born. Where has the last 13 years go?

I tried my best to describe Rebekah for each day of her name.
It is very difficult for think about words that starts with E's.
I will be leaving the E's blank. I will still share the other letters of her name.

My Testimony on Temples

I would like to share my Testimony on Temples.

"I have a short testimony on Temples.

Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I seek personal revelations.
Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I seek guidance.

Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I feel instant happiness.
Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I feel instant comfort.

Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I feel instant peace.
Most times when I enter inside the Temple, I feel loved.
I know when I make sacrifices to go to the Temple, I receive blessings.
If you haven't been to the Temple before, I invite you to go to the Temple.

Before going inside the Temple, you need to organise an interview with your Bishop or one of his counsellors for a Temple Recommend. When you pass the interview, you will receive your own Temple Recommend. Temple Recommend is to prove that you are worthy to enter inside the Temple.

When you receive your own Temple Recommend, I encourage you to go to the Temple often. Go to the Temple often before your Temple Recommend expires.

Set a day or evening (when the Temple is open) to go to the Temple and attend a session.
Do not allow the little distractions stop you from going to the Temple.

Did You Think to Pray?

I love a hymn called "Did You Think to Pray?"

I know some people who gets too busy with their everyday life and forgets to pray.
I know some people who always makes excuses to pray and forgets to pray.
On some days and some nights, I get very busy and I always make the time to pray.
Satan has his own powers and he has his own plans! I know there are some people just not willing to acknowledge the difference between his powers to Heavenly Father's powers.

Satan's plans is to make people feel miserable for the most of their daily lives.
Satan's powers is to destroy family relationships, friendships, deceive people, etc.

When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can overcome temptations.
When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can feel comfort again.

When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can feel peace again.
When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can feel joy again.

When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can ask for any of our concerns.
When you pray to Heavenly Father, you can ask for guidance.

I love a scripture that is find in Doctrine and Covenants, Section 10: Verse 5 and it reads: "Pray always, that you may come off conqueror; yea, that you may conquer Satan, and that you may escape the hands of the servants of Satan that do uphold his work."

Perfect Peace

This post is based on a song called "Perfect Peace by Laura Story." I have been able to hear this song often. I encourage you to listen to the song in your own time and think about these two following questions.

"What does perfect peace" means to you?"
"Do you think about the feelings that comes with it when you feel peace?"
If you can't see the Image above, it says "Stay by my side, keep your eyes on me though this life is hard, I will give you PERFECT PEACE in this moment of trail that no one sees trust me when I say I will give you PERFECT PEACE. You will never walk alone, never be in need. I may not calm the storms around you but you can hide in me burdens that you bear offer no relief. Let me bear your load because I will give you PERFECT PEACE. Stay by my side and you will never walk alone, know that I will always give you PERFECT PEACE."

What does that mean to you as you were reading that Image?
Did it change the way you were thinking before you read the Image?

I suggest you to think about that Heavenly Father does gives us perfect peace and we aren't alone. He is always with us. He can give us peace and comfort when we ask for it. It's a good time to ask him when we needed it the most.
If you can't see the Video above, here's the link for the song that you could listen to it in your own time. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UpfatdyFtY

I encourage you to rethink about the questions from the start, "What does "perfect peace" means to you now?" "What do you think about the feelings comes with it when you feel peace?"

To All Who Suffer

In this life, we all suffer. We all suffer each day and we all suffer each night.
Sometimes we may not see some of the things that we suffer from.
We all suffer from our family relationships. We all suffer from our trails.
We all suffer from our stresses. We all suffer from letting our loved ones go.

We all suffer from our tribulations. We all suffer from our struggles.
We all suffer from our limitations. We all suffer from our sicknesses.
We all suffer from our pains. We all suffer from our heartaches.

Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our family relationships.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our trails.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our stresses.

Because of The Atonement, we can reunite back with our loved ones.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our tribulations.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our struggles.

Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our limitations.
Because of The Atonement,  we can overcome our sicknesses.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our pains.
Because of The Atonement, we can overcome our heartaches.

Hang On, Exercise Faith, and Keep Up Good Courage

A month and a day ago, I remembered writing notes during Institute.
I would love to share you a part of my notes that I really loved.

"Elder George A. Smith of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles reported that once when he was discouraged, the Prophet Joseph Smith said, “I should never get discouraged, whatever difficulties should surround me, if I was sunk in the lowest pit of Nova Scotia and all the Rocky Mountains piled on top of me, I ought not to be discouraged but hang on, exercise faith and keep up good courage and I should come out on the top of the heap.”
Many times in our lives, we need to continue press forward! Don't look back, don't look at the past mistakes. Focus on to continue to press forward, forgive the past, learn from the mistakes, and change for the better.

Sometimes it is not EASY to put your faith and trust in Heavenly Father first.
Sometimes it is not EASY to become a better person than you were yesterday.
Sometimes it is not EASY to do whatever it takes to inspire someone else.
Sometimes it is not EASY to do whatever it takes to make new goals

Sometimes it is not EASY to do whatever it takes to make new friends.
Sometimes it is not EASY to build a good friendship with a stranger.

Whatever it may be, we need to think about ourselves first and then think about others.
Hang On, Exercise Faith and Keep Up Good Courage!!

Heavenly Father is Mindful of Us

It has been almost 3 years ago since I received my Young Women's Recognition and a necklace that goes with it. Where has that time go?

I constantly remind myself that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father who knows me,
who loves me and who is mindful of me each day and each night.

I would love to share with you a value experience.

"Individual Worth: #1
You are a daughter of Heavenly Father, who knows you and loves you. Read Psalm 8:4–6; Jeremiah 1:5; John 13:34; Doctrine and Covenants 18:10; Abraham 3:22–23; and Joseph Smith History 1:1-20. Write in your journal how these scriptures teach you that Heavenly Father knows you, loves you, and is mindful of you."
I encourage you to do the following:
Read the scripture references that has mentioned above
Think about how the scriptures teach you that Heavenly Father knows you
Think about how the scriptures teach you that Heavenly Father loves you
Think about how the scriptures teacher you that Heavenly Father is mindful of you.

Please remember the following:
Please remember Heavenly Father knows you each day and each night.
Please remember Heavenly Father loves you each day and each night.
Please remember Heavenly Father is mindful of you each day and each night.

My trust in Heavenly Father has grown a lot within the last few years.
My faith in Heavenly Father has grown a lot within the last few years.
My hope in Heavenly Father has grown a lot within the last few years.

Each Day and Each Night:
I always pray to Heavenly Father for what I am grateful for,
I always pray to Heavenly Father for my concerns,
I always pray to Heavenly Father for my feelings,

I always pray to Heavenly Father for my friends,
I always pray to Heavenly Father for my family,
I always pray to Heavenly Father for my safety,

I always pray to Heavenly Father for the sick people to get better.
I always pray to Heavenly Father for guidance,
I always pray to Heavenly Father for many other things.

I know that Heavenly Father is always listening to everyone's prayers.
I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers in his timing.

Grateful in Any Circumstances

I enjoyed sharing days of what I was grateful for and I also enjoyed sharing days of who I was grateful for. This post is based on April General Conference 2014 talk by President F. Utchdorf called "Grateful in Any Circumstances"

"Have we not reason to be filled with gratitude, regardless of the circumstances in which we find ourselves?

We Can Be Grateful
Everyone’s situation is different, and the details of each life are unique. Nevertheless, I have learned that there is something that would take away the bitterness that may come into our lives. There is one thing we can do to make life sweeter, more joyful, even glorious. We can be grateful!

Being Grateful for Things
But some might say, “What do I have to be grateful for when my world is falling apart?”

Perhaps focusing on what we are grateful for is the wrong approach. It is difficult to develop a spirit of gratitude if our thankfulness is only proportional to the number of blessings we can count. True, it is important to frequently “count our blessings” and anyone who has tried this knows there are many but I don’t believe the Lord expects us to be less thankful in times of trial than in times of abundance and ease. In fact, most of the scriptural references do not speak of gratitude for things but rather suggest an overall spirit or attitude of gratitude.
“In His plan there are no true endings, only everlasting beginnings.” - President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

It is easy to be grateful for things when life seems to be going our way. But what then of those times when what we wish for seems to be far out of reach? Could I suggest that we see gratitude as a disposition, a way of life that stands independent of our current situation? In other words, I’m suggesting that instead of being thankful for things, we focus on being thankful in our circumstances whatever they may be.

Gratitude as an Act of Faith
Being grateful in our circumstances is an act of faith in God. It requires that we trust God and hope for things we may not see but which are true. By being grateful, we follow the example of our beloved Savior, who said, “Not my will, but thine, be done.”

True gratitude is an expression of hope and testimony. It comes from acknowledging that we do not always understand the trials of life but trusting that one day we will."

Repentance is a Process

This post is short and sweet.

Repentance is a Process that we all need to go through each day and each night.
I know that sometimes forgiving others can be easy.
I know that sometimes forgiving others can be hard.
I know that sometimes forgiving others can be a bit of both, easy and hard.

In your own time, I encourage you to think about the following questions:
What does Repentance means to one of your family members?
What does Repentance means to one of your friends?
What does repentance means to you?

It is alright if you don't have the answers for the first question and second question.
If you do have the answers to the first question and second question, think about your answer.

I encourage you to write a list of the things that you would like to improve in and how would you get there. List those things as from 1st priority/urgent first and then list the rest. I hope it will help to see that you have improvements to do. I hope you will do something about those improvements, even if it is just little steps at time.

Stay tuned until next time.

If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments

I would like to share with you some notes a most recent General Conference Sunday afternoon talk called "If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments."
The talk is by Sister Carole M. Stephens.
"We can choose to see commandments as limitations. We may feel at times that God’s laws restrict our personal freedom, take from us our agency, and limit our growth. But as we seek for greater understanding, as we allow our Father to teach us, we will begin to see that His laws are a manifestation of His love for us and obedience to His laws is an expression of our love for Him.

If you find yourself figuratively parked on the side of the road, can I suggest a few principles that, if followed, will help you get safely back on the path of faith and obedience?

First: Trust God. Trust in His eternal plan for you.

Second: Trust Jesus.
The ultimate expression of obedience and love is the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Third: Trust the whisperings of the Spirit.

Fourth: Trust the counsel of living prophets.

There is safety in following the word of the Lord through His prophets."

See the GOOD in Yourself

I love the short quote by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland which is shown as an Image below. I hope you will love the quote too.
It is so true. Whenever you let yourself down, I encourage you to try to see the good in yourself. I know it can be not so easy than we thought about it. I know that I have let myself down by saying that I wished I could have done some things differently. The more that I have realised, that everything has a purpose.

We may not have the full understanding of everything and its purpose of it all. I know that everything has its own way of doing things and sometimes we can't stop it happening.

Please see the good in yourself, it's worth to know what is the good for you when we trust in Heavenly Father. Sometimes, it may be worthwhile to ask Heavenly Father what is the good that he sees in you. We may not get an answer for it, but through actions we would be able to know for ourselves what we are good at.

We also have talents. Heavenly Father has given each of us different talents and a few talents could be common with a friend who is next to you or a family member who is next to you.

Don't be afraid to ask someone around you about what are the good qualities do they see in you through actions. If you do that, make sure that you can write it down and compare what you think of what are the good qualities that you see in yourself.

I encourage you to see the GOOD in yourself each day and each night!!

I am Grateful for Jesus Christ

Day 20: I am Grateful for Jesus Christ.

You may ask me, "Why are you Grateful for Jesus Christ?"
I am Grateful for Jesus Christ because he means a lot to me in my everyday life,
his atonement helps me to overcome sin, his atonement helps me to overcome death,
he is a great example to me (such as becoming a better leader to my fellow peers),
I know that he cares about me, I know that he knows about my personal needs,
I know that he knows how much pains, heartbreak, and sufferings hurts,
his atonement was to pay the price of everyone's sins, mistakes, etc
and many other reasons.
I think that Atonement applies to this post:
I would like to share with you in my own words for one of the things that I have learnt in Instiute in May, this year "We have choices to make in this life. Atonement is the center of everything. We still need to make the effort to forgive, change today!!!"

I also think that Forgiveness applies to this post too:
I encourage to think about this "Do not delay asking forgiveness tomorrow when you can ask forgiveness today, as to right now." in your own time and also think about how it applies to your life.

I always forgive others everyday and every night. I even forgive a few family members who wakes me up early in the mornings.

I encourage you to think about the following questions:
What is your understanding about Jesus Christ?
When was the last time that you thought about Jesus Christ?
Are you grateful for Jesus Christ in your everyday life?
When was the last time that you forgive someone?

I am Grateful for Emotions

Day 19: I am Grateful for Emotions.

You may ask me, "Why are you Grateful for Emotions?"
I am Grateful for Emotions because I always have different attitudes towards things,
I get to choose of how I feel everyday and every night, I feel different emotions each day, and other reasons.

I know there are some days that I feel the same as the previous day.
I think emotions has helped me to build my character of who I am,
I don't like crying, feeling sick, feeling sad, feeling annoyed, etc.
I like feeling happiness, feeling joy, feeling loved, feeling great, etc.
Ask yourself the following two questions in your own time,
Are you grateful for emotions?
If you are grateful for emotions, why are you grateful for emotions?

I encourage you remember the following statements:
Always remember it is your choice of how you feel today.
Always remember it is your choice of how you feel tonight.

Always remember you are a son or daughter of Heavenly Father who always loves you,
who always cares about you, who always knows your weaknesses,
who always knows your strengths, who wants the best for you,
he knows you individually, and many more.

I am Grateful for My Qualifications

Day 18: I am Grateful for My Qualifications and Certificates.

Why am I Grateful for My Qualifications?
I am Grateful for My Qualifications because I like studying,
I have put heaps of time and effort towards my Qualifications
I am able to receive the Qualifications at the end of the courses,
I always love learning new things, I get to have the knowledge of the courses for ages,
and other reasons.
I encourage you to think about the following questions.
What qualifications or/and short certificates courses have you completed in this life so far?
What degree or short certificate course are you currently studying towards?
Are you still thinking of what you want to be?

Are you grateful for your Qualifications if you have any Qualifications?
If you are studying towards a degree or a short certificate course, is it something that you want to do for a career choice?

I haven't studied a course since completing my two courses in July this year.
I am still waiting for my two qualifications to arrive through the mail.

I am Grateful for LDS Church Guidelines

Day 17: I am Grateful for LDS Church Guidelines.

Why am I Grateful for LDS Church Guidelines?
I am Grateful for LDS Church Guidelines because I know that LDS Church Guidelines wouldn't change, Church Guidelines are set from Heavenly Father and many other reasons.

I know when I don't obey a LDS Church Guidelines, I don't feel the Holy Ghost promptings.
I know when I don't obey a LDS Church Guidelines, I don't feel peace.
I know when I don't obey a LDS Church Guideline, I feel down.

I am Grateful for Safety and Protection

Day 12: I am Grateful for Safety and Protection.

Why am I grateful for Safety and Protection?
I am Grateful for Safety and Protection because I love seeing signs about keeping me safe and protected, I love getting to places safely and protected, I always put my faith and trust that I will go to places safely either by driving to or riding a bike to or walking to or catching a train to or catching a bus to or catching a plane to and some other reasons too.

In this world;  I know there are type of people who would take someone by deceiving her or him (such as tricking them about something isn't true), I know there are type of people who lie about their age on Facebook (for those who has Facebook, needs to be extremely careful who they talk to on Facebook), etc. You get the idea.
I know there are signs to keep people safe and protected when they are obedient to the signs.
This post isn't long but that's alright. I see this post short and powerful.

I encourage you to think about these two following questions:
Do you put your faith and trust that you will get to places safely?
Are you grateful for Safety and Protection?
