What Brings You Down?

This post is short and sweet. I encourage you to think about and answer the following question in your own time. "What are some of things that brings you down?"

I always try not to think about what things brings me down, because I don't like letting myself down.           I always strive my best to focus on what things brings me to happiness, cheer, and other things often. Whenever I do think about it, I always thought I didn't have many until I did deep thinking about it.

I would like to share some of the things that brings me down with you.

I don't like accepting photo bookings for free because there are always so much things to consider with Photography. I don't like thinking about what things would have been if I didn't make certain choices.
I don't like feeling ignored whenever friends sees the messages from me but don't reply back at all.
I don't like having friends for a short term up to five years and no longer friends with them.

I don't like saying it is okay to some things after when friends says "sorry" to me.
I don't like feeling some hurt for a long time after the pain has been caused.
I don't like wasting other people's time.

I like the Image that I have shared on this post and I agree what it says. If you can't see the Image, it says "never let anyone or anything bring you down, be the best you can be and you will succeed.
try your hardest and never give up on what you believe."

I would like to add, "Keep your head up, keep smiling often and always strive to be cheerful often.
Don't feel discouraged when things doesn't go the way that you expected it to."

Happy 21st Birthday Jacob

Wow! It has been five days since I last posted. Oops. I have been so busy and also having no internet sucks. Happy Birthday to my friend Jacob, he turns twenty-one years old today and I hope he has a great day. You may ask me the following questions.

"When did you first met Jacob and how old were you both?"
"When and where was the last time you spend time with Jacob?"
"What is your favourite memory with Jacob?"

I first met Jacob during EFY in January 2012 and we both were fifteen years old. The last time when I spent time with Jacob was at the Brisbane Temple on May 20th, this year which was one month and nine days ago.

I seriously don't know what my favourite memory with Jacob would be because all of the memories with Jacob was all great and memorable. Hahaha! I am serious. However I do have a favourite thing that I did for Jacob and that was updating a blog during his mission. Jacob is a great friend to me.
I was grateful to do two wonderful things for Jacob during his mission and those two wonderful things are updating his Facebook account and updating a blog to share his MTC experiences, his MTC photos, his mission experiences and his mission photos on his behalf during his two whole years mission in Berlin, Germany.

During my time of doing that for Jacob, I remembered when people gave me the wrong impression that me and Jacob was together. I remembered making it clear and known to people that me and Jacob are friends and I don't see Jacob more than a friend during his mission. I am sure that some people were shocked when they found out.

Jacob if you see this post, I would like to say something for your Birthday, I would like to wish you a "Happy 21st Birthday Jacob, I hope you have a great day and I hope you can celebrate your 21st with your loved ones."

For the photos that I have shared on this post, is photos of me and Jacob.

Bottom: Me and Jacob at Brisbane Airport after Jacob finished his mission, in March this year.

Listen to God with a Broken Heart

First and foremost, I encourage you to think about and ask yourself the following question in your own time. "What does listen to God with a Broken Heart means to you?"

In this life, we all have to experience sadness. In this life, we all have to experience happiness.
In this life, we all have to experience excitement. In this life, we all have to experience peace.

In this life, we all have to experience hurt. In this life, we all have to experience pain.
In this life, we all have to experience joy. In this life, we all have to experience fun,

In this life, we all have to experience some worst days and some worst evenings.
In this life, we all have to experience some great days and some great evenings.
.
In this life, we all need to seek guidance from Heavenly Father. In this life, we all get along.
In this life, we all need to seek forgiveness whenever we are making mistakes.

If you can't see the Image that I have shared for this post, it says "Listen to God with a broken heart. He is not only the doctor who mends it. But also the Father who wipes away the tears. - Criss Jami."

I think we should always listen to Heavenly Father all the time, especially whenever we are feeling a broken heart. If we are praying to him with tears, he will comfort us and he will wipe our tears away. Heavenly Father doesn't like seeing us feeling sadness and he loves seeing us feeling happiness.

I know he will never leave us alone. He is always by our side whenever we are making the righteous choices. I know he always loves seeing us whenever we are experiencing joy. I know he loves seeing us whenever we are experiencing excitement. I know he loves seeing us whenever we are peace.

I know he loves seeing us whenever we are progressing, I know he loves seeing us whenever we are not giving up on some things so easily. I know he loves seeing us whenever we are forgiving others.

I know loves seeing us whenever we are forgiving ourselves from the mistakes that we did.

The State of Origin vs Institute

If you don't know what The State of Origin is, I strongly encourage you to find out what it is before reading more of this post.

As I was driving after Institute, I was thinking about what I was going to post for this evening, I kept thinking opposition and choices. I was so grateful that I did think about those two topics. I strongly encourage you to think about the following questions in your own time.

Would you choose to have your evening as a worldy focus or a spiritual focus for this evening?
Would you choose to go to Institute instead of watching The State of Origin?
Would you choose to watch The State of Origin instead of going to Institute?

This evening was an Institute evening, and it was on the same evening as The State of Origin. I made the effort to go to Institute this evening. I decided to make Institute a priority because I wanted to have a spiritual focus evening and I had no interest in watching The State of Origin.

When I arrived at the chapel where Institue is held, I arrived thirty minutes early. I decided to go and visit a cousin for I haven't seen for awhile. After twenty minutes talking to her, I went back to the chapel where Institute is held. I arrived two minutes late.

The teacher mentioned that I was the only YSA who was at the chapel. We started not long after I arrived at the chapel. I was amazed that many YSAs chose to watch The State of Origin instead of going to Institute.

I was the only YSA for about forty-five minutes to fifty minutes until my friend Daisy arrived. I had the opportunity to say the opening prayer before starting with the lesson. I mentioned, "To invite the spirit to be with us." It amazes me so much that I had so much faith and trust in Heavenly Father that the spirit will be present.

During the whole Institute lesson, I noticed that I was so prepared to answer any question that the teacher has. In my mind, I had all the correct answers, I even mentioned some things that were an answer to a question that the teacher was going to ask.
I love the Image above. If you can't see the Image above, it says "Opposition permits us to grow toward what our Heavenly Father would have us become. - Elder Oaks."

Some things do take dedication. All things have opposition, All choices that we make has opposition. I know so because it is true.

Welcome Home Sister Burgess

This post is short and sweet. Welcome Home for my friend Sister Nicole Burgess!

Before she started her mission, I became friends with her on Facebook, and became a follower to her on Instagram when I was eighteen years old. I still remember meeting Nicole for the first time at Brisbane Temple when she was in her first area and when I was nineteen years old.

I helped her and her companion Sister Mwea by providing a lift for taking them to their appointments and yes of course, I joined with them for their lessons that they had scheduled and a service project.

It was my first experience spending time with full-time sister missionaries. From that day, it made me to gain a greater desire to go and serve a mission. Missions takes a lot of dedication, time, effort and a lot of service. I still remember a major lesson that I have learnt while I was with them and it was, "Never estimate of how much the hard work that Missionaries do day to day and night to night."

The link below is to answer, "What is Missionary Work?"
www.lds.org/topics/missionary-work

I think it was amazing that the last eighteen months went so fast. I think it was a wonderful priviledge for Nicole to serve in my ward this year because I know it was a wonderful priviledge for me. I loved my calling as a Ward Missionary and even the days before I got that calling, because I always loved taking some time out of my day to go out with the missionaries, helped them with teaching lessons and it always made me feel like I was a Sister Missionary already.
I do miss Nicole heaps since she left Somerset Ward and it really sucks that I didn't get the opportunity to see her again after she got transferred,

10 Ways to Succeed in Life

This post is short and sweet. First and foremost, I encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time.

"What are your ten ways to succeed in life?" "What do you want to succeed in this life?"

If I was to answer "What are your ten ways to succeed in life?" question, I would share my five ways. Below is my five ways that I want to succeed in my life.

1. Be Happy for who I was in the past, who I am now and who I will be in the future.
2. Be Statisified with all of my achievements and my goals that I have accomplished.
3. Strive my best to show an righteous example to everyone who I have met in life.
4. Stay Postitive whenever I am facing unexpected challenges, struggles, tribulations, etc.
5. Stay Active in the Church, by scripture reading, praying always, going to Temple often, etc.
I like the Image that I have shared above. If you can't see the Image, it says
"10 Ways to Succeed in Life
1. Establish Principles to guide your life.
2. Don't make exceptions to your Standards.
3. Be Loyal.
4. Live so that the Lord can guide you.
5. Serve others.
6. Smile.
7. Don't complain.
8. Always have a Church Assignment.
9. Worship in the Temple
10. Follow the Savior's Example."

Not everyone has to agree with me, but I would like to share with you, my short opinion that relates to this post's topic.

I think the world would have nicer people if there are more people who can set a righteous example to their non-member friends by finding opportunities to share the gospel, by living the gospel standards correctly, etc, if there are more people who are striving their best to serve others often, if there are more people who are striving their best to stay positive whenever they are facing unexpected challenges plus acknowledging who they can turn to, if there are more people who are striving their best to live their lives in a way that Heavenly Father can guide them to the right path that leads back to him, listening and acting upon the promptings from the Holy Ghost.

It is always important to follow up. It is always important to follow up how someone is going.

The World is Full of Opportunities

This post is short and sweet. I encourage you to think about and answer the following question in your own time. "What does the world is full of opportunities means to you?"

I know there are many opportunities for all of us to support people's decisions.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to care about others.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to serve others.

I know there are many opportunities for all of us to be at right place at the right time.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to become someone's new friend.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to become someone's leader.
I love the Image that I shared for this post. If you can't see the Image above, it mentions
"The World is full of opportunities, and I want to try as many as I possibly can."

I know there are many opportunities for all of us to experience various emotions.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own difficulties.

I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own challenges.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own hardships.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own battles.

I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own tribulations.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own struggles.
I know there are many opportunities for all of us to face our own trials.

Be Paitent in Afflictions

This post is short and sweet. First and foremost, I encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time.

"What does be patient in afflictions means to you?" "What does afflictions means to you in general?" "What does being patient in general means to you?"

We all got through past afflictions and we all still can get through this present day afflictions.
We all got through past challenges and we all still can get through this present day challenges.

We all got through past tribuatlions and we all still can get through this present day tribulations.
We all got through past difficulties and we all still can get through this present day difficulties.
We all got through past let downs and we all still can get through this present day let downs.
We all got through past struggles and we all still can get through this present day struggles.
We all got through past hardships and we still can get through this present day hardships.
We all got through past sorrows and we all still can get through this present day sorrows.

We all got through past failures and we all still can get through this present day failures.
We all got through past trials and we all still can get through this present day trials.

I really love the Image that I have shared on this post and if you can't see the Image that I shared, it says "Be patient with afflictions, for thou shalt have many, but endure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thy days. - D&C 24:8."

I would like to expand on what the scripture says, "When we are experiencing afflictions, I think we all should to be patient with our daily afflictions, be expected for us to experience more afflictions throughout the remaining time of our lives and we should always remember we need to endure them.

Always remember Jesus Christ knows how it feels and he knows we can strive our best to be strong whenever we go through afflictions.

Count Your Blessings not Your Problems

This post is short and sweet. We all receive blessings and we all have problems to experience in this life. I love what the Image says. If you can't see the Image, it says "Count your blessings, not your problems."
Sometimes when we are caught up and too focused on the worldly things, we might find it difficult hard to count the blessings that we have received in this life so far.

Sometimes when we are caught up and too focused on the worldly things, we may not consider and see some things as blessings in our lives.

Sometimes when we are caught up and too focused on the worldly things, we might lose the spirit and ignore the promptings.

Sometimes when we are caught up and too focused on the worldly things,  we might turn away from the Church if we aren't being careful.

We all need to be strong whenever we are going through difficulties.
We all need to be strong whenever we are going through afflictions.

We all need to be strong whenever we are going through tribulations.
We all need to be strong whenever we are going through sicknesses.

We all need to be strong whenever we are going through challenges.
We all need to be strong whenever we are going through struggles.

We all need to be strong whenever we are going through trials.
We all need to be strong whenever we are going through pain.

Many times, blessings will arrive when we are at the right place at the right time.

5 THINGS God's children should NEVER worry about

I know we all worry about at least one thing in our lives each day, either if that one thing is small or big.

I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our short-term goals.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our long-term goals.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our future.

I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our long-term careers.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our back-up careers.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our education grades.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our appearances,

I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about answering questions incorrectly.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about if someone still loves you or not.

I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about our feelings aren't easy to show.
I know we all went through times in our lives when we worry about the consequences after making decisions.

If you can't see the Image that I shared on this post, it says
"5 THINGS God's children should NEVER worry about:
1. Being forsaken
Hebrews 13:5

2.Feeling useless
1 Corinthians 12:12-31

3. The future
Jeremiah 29:11-14, John 14:13

4. Bothering God with prayer
1 Peter 5:7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17

5.Feeling forgiven
1 John 1:9"

I testify and know that we all need to put our faith and trust with Heavenly Father constantly, leave things in his hands, allow him to be control of things that we can't handle. We need to strengthen and share our testimonies of the gospel often even with non-members, church members, family members, friends,

We need to be striving our best to come like Jesus Christ each day. We all need to be able to receive personal revelations and act upon the revelations that we receive. We all need to acknowledge, remember and apply The Plan of Salvation in our lives each day. It answers the questions for us, "Where did we come from before coming to Earth?" "Why are we here?"
"What happens after death? Is there life after death?"

 Stay tuned until next time.

Little Things Count

I encourage you to think about and answer the following two questions in your own time.
"How can you make the little things count in your life?" and "What do little things count means to you?"

This post is based on May 1988 New Article called "Little Things Count" by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the article.

Elder Wirthlin mentioned, "I have been impressed recently with the thought that this life is made up of little things—little things that count a great deal. I believe that the little things are of great importance in our relationship with ourselves, in our relationship with others, and in our relationship with God.

The Lord has said, “Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great” (D&C 64:33).

I have often thought that some of the most common little things in our lives are the minutes that pass in each hour of the day. For each human being, time is indeed an indispensable resource. It can neither be ignored nor altered. We are compelled to spend it at a fixed rate of 60 minutes every hour. No spigot can be installed to regulate its flow, and no refilling device can replenish its quantity.

The question is not one of managing the clock, but one of managing ourselves with respect to the time we have. Each minute is a little thing and yet, with respect to our personal productivity, to manage the minute is the secret of success.

Relationship with Self
Let us first consider our relationship with ourselves. You must take proper care in your life to see that the little things regarding your personal life are in order. You must learn to care for your health and your mental well-being.

Our bodies are truly the result of what we eat and the exercise we receive. If we are not wise these little things can soon catch up with us to become major health problems that will limit our success and contribution.

Relationship with Others
With regard to our relationship with others, I often marvel to think of the perfect example that the Lord Jesus Christ provides in all aspects of our existence. If we were to meet him, we would find him refreshingly pleasant and perfect in all his relationships and dealings with each individual.

Patience and long suffering, considered by some to be little things in this life, are some of the crowning attributes in dealing with our fellowmen. Whether it be in athletics, in business, or in our Church associations, if you can acquire these two great attributes, you will find that you really can work with people and have a good influence in their lives.
President Spencer W. Kimball said:
“I have learned that it is by serving that we learn how to serve. When we are engaged in the service of our fellowmen, not only do our deeds assist them, but we put our own problems in a fresher perspective. When we concern ourselves more with others, there is less time to be concerned with ourselves.

So often, our acts of service consist of simple encouragement or of giving mundane help with mundane tasks, but what glorious consequences can flow from mundane acts and from small but deliberate deeds! God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs. Therefore, it is vital that we serve each other in the kingdom”

Relationship with God
As children of our Heavenly Father, we each have within us every potential of character, of compassion, joy, and of knowledge that we need in our quest for personal growth. The seeds for each godly character trait are in each of us. With that assurance, we are truly able to grow toward godhood as he has commanded us

We must give attention to the detail that will help us to grow and develop in our relationship with God. We should heed the words of the prophet Alma to his son Helaman, “But behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass” (Alma 37:6).

Lucifer is a master at step-by-step deception. He can make little things seem so harmless when, in reality, they will quickly bind the soul and destroy the spirit. He can make immodest dress and suggestive behavior seem very acceptable. He can cause us to think that a little indiscretion in speech and manner is still quite wholesome. But soon those little steps repeat themselves in an ever-descending pattern until one is at a far-lower level than ever imagined.

I suggest, on the positive side, that we watch for all possible little opportunities to overcome evil and increase our spiritual strength. We must let virtue garnish our thoughts unceasingly, that our confidence will wax strong in the presence of God (see D&C 121:45)

These little things, which, in reality, become such big things, bring perspective to our lives as we learn to conquer them one by one in our effort to gain more and more strength. And this we do in a spirit of humility and gratitude to our Heavenly Father.

We should try to live every day with absolute faith, for we have learned in life that the Lord keeps his promises and watches over those who trust Him. He has been so good to all of us that we should have a profound conviction that He must really love us in spite of our faults."

I encourage you to read the whole article in your own time. Here's the link below.

If you can't see the Image that I shared on this post, it says "There are SIMPLE THINGS that we do everyday and you never know when that little thing is really going to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in someone's life - John Hilton."

I would love to share with you a quick experience that I had yesterday. Yesterday, while I was at Altandi Train Station, my friend Ashlee, went to go to the toilets and I was talking to a woman named Donna. Me and her were getting to know each other a little, and she mentioned about she forgot to get her wallet and her gocard.

So I mentioned to her that I was happy to give her $20 and it will be enough to where she was going to. She asked me if I was sure. I answered, "Yes I am sure." She was very happy and blessed that I was able to help her out. Me and her exchange our phone numbers right before she left. I was very grateful for the opportunity that I had with Donna.

Happy Belated National Best Friend's Day

This post is short and sweet. I don't have many Best Friends and I am okay with that. I thought I had about five Best Friends at the beginning of this year and finding that I don't, it was a odd feeling for me when I found out. I have total of three Best Friends.
My first Best Friend name is Melina, I met her by a mutual friend. We used to Skype/Video call regularly and facebook messaging each other often. I notice that a lot of her schooling/education gets in the way of us not talking to each other often anymore and we are living long distance from each other.

My second Best Friend name is Sister Dixon/Marah Dixon and I met her at Year 12 Graduation Trip a week after we both graduated high school in 2013. I can't believe time flies and that happened almost 2 years and a half.

Before her mission, me and her used to contact each other via facebook messages, phone calls and text messages. Me and her spent a lot of time together by going to Temple, going to the Airport, going outings and seeing each other Young Single Adult events such as Balls, Dances, Firesides, etc.

During her mission, me and her have been emailing each other often.

My third Best Friend name is Sydney H. I met sometime last year and we used to talk to each other often but her schooling gets in the way of us not talking to each other often anymore and we are living long distance from each other.

If I had to choose a favourite Best Friend, I would choose Sister Dixon/Marah because before her mission, me and her talked a lot, spent some time together and we both were very patient with each other even during her mission, me and her still talk to each other, and we both still are very patient with each other. I am very grateful to have a few Best Friends.

I would like to wish to my three Best Friends a "Happy Belated National Best Friend's Day! I hope you three will have a great day, I love you heaps, I miss you heaps and I am very grateful for having you all in my life."

A Prayer Away

First and foremost, I encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time.

"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help for approval?"
"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help for support?"

"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help to get through a challenge?"
"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help to get through a difficulty?"
"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help for getting instructions to do better?" "When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help to get through an unexpected trial?"

"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help to make you feel loved?"
"When was the last time you said a prayer for asking God for his help to cheer you up?"

If you haven't prayed to ask God for his help recently, I encourage you to pray and ask God for his help. He would not answer your prayer if you do not make the effort to say a prayer and ask him today. He is happy for you to pray to him often and ask him questions often.

I know God will be happy to help you out if you ask him for his help, not once and regularly but often. So you will need to say a prayer to ask God for his help today.

I strongly encourage do not wait until tomorrow comes when you can say a prayer today. You can even say a prayer after reading this post. If you can't see the Image that I have shared on this post, it says "God's help is only a prayer away." I strongly recommend you to always remember that saying.

Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

I encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time.
Do you worry about what tomorrow has in store for you even if you have plans for tomorrow?
What does "do not worry about tomorrow" saying means to you?
I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about if their choices might impact someone else's life.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about some unexpected things to happen.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about how would they feel if something changed their life for the better.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about their plans and backup plans for tomorrow.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about studying for an exam and hoping to pass/get great grades.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about they think they have failed and there was no chance for them to try again.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about losing a job and do not know if they would like to be employed for another job or not.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about they are alone and they do not have anyone who they can turn to.

I think many people around the world worry too much or overthink about giving up easily and do not know how to stay strong.

I encourage you to do not worry about tomorrow and focus on what matters the most today.

Make Each Day Count

This post is short and sweet. I know all of us were able to experience a lot of things in the past such as attending school for education, learning how to drive a car, meeting new people to have friends, to have have a job to be employed, etc.

In our lives, we are able to experience times when we want to give up but we continue to press forward.
In our lives, we are able to experience times when we have to move on and look forward to the future.

In our lives, we are able to experience times when we are feeling happy and cheerful.
In our lives, we are able to experience times when we are feeling sad and hurt.
In our lives, we are able to experience times when we are waiting for something a little longer, it is teaching us patience.
In our lives, we are able to experience times when we are feeling discouraged but we continue to press forward.

In our lives, we are able to experience times when we make a wrong choice, we forgive ourselves.
In our lives, we are able to experience times when we get all excited and overjoyed.

I encourage you to make each day count. I also encourage you to think about the following question.
"What would you do tomorrow to make your day better than today?"

I love My Family

This post is short and sweet. I encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time. "When was the last time when you said I love you to a family member from your family?" and "When was the last time when a family member said he or she loves you?"

I thought it would be great for me to do a blog post about expressing my love for my family. I know that I don't say something often than I should. I love my family a lot and my family means a lot to me.

I may not contact and see each of the family member in my family often but I do have something lovely to share with them.
I truly do appreciate my family, I truly do care about my family, I truly do support my family, I truly trust my family, I truly miss my family whenever I am not around them, I truly enjoy spending some time with my family and I know we can be together forever.

I want to be with my family forever. I know that they would like to be together forever.

I encourage you to say "I love you" often to your family and it will remind them that you still love them. I also encourage you to say "I miss you" to your family if you are living away from home and it will remind them that they are missed by you.

In your own time, think about a happiest memory that you had with your family while growing up.
In your own time, think about a funniest memory that you had with a family while growing up.

Believe

This post is short and sweet. I encourage you to think about and answer the following question.
"What does believe means to you?"
This post is based on a song that I love called "Believe" by Brooke McRoberts. If you haven't heard the song before, I strongly encourage you to listen to the song in your own time.

I would like to share with you the audio clip of the song below. I hope you will enjoy listening to the song.
If you can't see the audio clip above, here's the link below.

If you listened to the song, did you have any most favourite parts of the song? If you had any, what was yours? I would like to share with you my favourite part of the song. My favourite part was,

"If you feel a touch of fear, as you wonder what's ahead, be at peace and know that He will guide you. If you feel you're all alone in this journey you've begun. Remember friends are always there beside you."

I think we all need to be at peace whenever we feel a touch of fear and know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will guide us throughout this life if we allow them to help us.

My Mission Call is Coming

I would like to share with you a experience that happened a few nights a go. A few nights ago, I had a interview with my stake president and it was a follow up about my desire to go and serve a mission. I was feeling a little nervous before my stake president to ask me to come into his office.

I think the only reason why I was feeling nervous is because Satan was trying to let me down. Little did I know, I got all excited again after I walked into his office and sat down like if I had no fear and I wasn't feeling nervous at all.

"Who would have thought about someone needing another interview that was about following up for a mission desire and after ten weeks waiting for a mission call?" It was certainly not my intention to have another interview about following up with my desire for the mission and after ten weeks since my mission papers got submitted.

So, after ten weeks waiting for my mission call, I didn't thought that I would need another interview with my stake president about a follow up for my desire to go and serve a mission but it did happened and I was very grateful that the interview was a great interview.

I was very grateful that I had that specific interview with my stake president because the interview went successful and I felt so much happiness after walking away from the interview. I still want to keep saying to myself that I have come a long way and always remember to thank Heavenly Father to allow things happen.
I was very grateful for being my faith and trust in Heavenly all the time including all of his plans that he has in store for me.

I was very grateful for being my faith and trust in the Prophet to let my stake president know what was a hold up for my mission call hasn't arrived here yet.

I was very grateful for being my faith and trust in my stake president for letting me know what was the hold up for my mission call hasn't arrived here yet.

Staying positive definitely has helped me a lot while waiting for my mission call to arrive.
Staying positive definitely has helped me a lot for teaching me patience and staying strong.

My mission call is on its way here. I am so excited. I am so excited for my mission call to arrive.

Trust in God, Then Go and Do

This post is based on October 2010 General Conference talk called "Trust in God, Then Go and Do" by Henry B. Eyring. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the talk.

He mentioned, "Your needs are great and varied. Each of you is a unique child of God. God knows you individually. He sends messages of encouragement, correction, and direction fitted to you and to your needs.

To discover what God would have me add to this conference, I read the messages of His servants in scripture and in past conferences.

I am to build trust in God and His servants enough that we will go out and obey His counsel. He wants that because He loves us and wants our happiness. And He knows how a lack of trust in Him brings sadness.

That lack of trust has brought sorrow to Heavenly Father’s children from before the world was created. We know through the revelations of God to the Prophet Joseph Smith that many of our brothers and sisters in the premortal world rejected the plan for our mortal life presented by our Heavenly Father and His eldest Son, Jehovah.

We don’t know all the reasons for Lucifer’s terrible success in inciting that rebellion. However, one reason is clear. Those who lost the blessing of coming into mortality lacked sufficient trust in God to avoid eternal misery.

The sad pattern of lack of trust in God has persisted since the Creation. I will be careful in giving examples from the lives of God’s children since I do not know all the reasons for their lack of faith enough to trust Him. Many of you have studied the moments of crisis in their lives.
The young Nephi in the Book of Mormon stirs in us a desire to develop trust in the Lord to obey His commandments, however hard they appear to us. Nephi faced danger and possible death when he said these words of trust that we can and must feel steadily in our hearts: “I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.”

That trust comes from knowing God. More than any other people on earth, we have, through the glorious events of the Restoration of the gospel, felt the peace that the Lord offered His people with the words “Be still, and know that I am God.” My heart is filled with gratitude for what God has revealed about Himself that we might trust Him.

Through my father, who was the branch president, the Lord called her as the president of the branch Relief Society. She had no handbook to tell her what to do. No other member of the Church lived near her. She only knew that the Lord cared for those in need and the few words in the motto of the Relief Society: “Charity never faileth.”

It was in the depths of what we now call the Great Depression. Thousands were out of work and homeless. So, feeling she had her errand from the Lord, she asked her neighbors for old clothes. She washed the clothes, pressed them, and put them in cardboard boxes on her back porch. When men without money needed clothes and asked her neighbors for help, they would say, “Go to the house down the street. There is a Mormon lady living there who will give you what you need.”

The Lord did not run the city, but He changed a part of it for the better. He called one tiny woman alone who trusted Him enough to find out what He wanted her to do and then did it. Because of her trust in the Lord, she was able to help in that city hundreds of Heavenly Father’s children in need.

That same trust in God can bless nations. I have come to know that we can trust God to fulfill the promise of Alma that “behold, the Lord doth grant unto all nations, of their own nation and tongue, to teach his word, yea, in wisdom, all that he seeth fit that they should have.”

God does not rule in nations, but He is mindful of them. He can and does place people in positions of influence who want what is best for the people and who trust in the Lord."

Happy 30th Birthday to Liana

This post is another post that is short and sweet.

I would like to share a Happy Birthday type of post for my friend Liana and she turns 30 years today.
I would like to wish her a Happy 30th Birthday and I hope she will have an amazing day in Adelaide.
You may ask me the following two questions. "When did you first met Liana and how old were you both at the time?" "How old were you both when you both first met?"

I still remember when me and Liana met for the first time and it felt like it just happened yesterday all over again. I first met Liana at a multistake Young Single Adult Fireside in September 2014.

I was very grateful when I first met her because I was able to meet someone who was shorter than me and made me feel not so bad for being short for my age. Below is a photo of me and her when me and her first met.
I decided to describe Liana each letter of her name for her. She is,

Lovely
Intelligent
Appreciative
Nice
Amazing

Liana if you are reading this post, again I would like to wish you a "Happy 30th Birthday Liana! I hope you will have an amazing day and I also hope you will have enjoyable Birthday."

Can you believe it now that you are in your 30's now? I would like to let you know that I would love to spend some time with you when you come back to Brisbane and hopefully, we can before my mission. Take care and safe travels.

How to Find Strength and Success

This post is short and sweet. I would like to encourage you to think about and answer the following questions in your own time. "What does strength means to you?" "What does success means to you?"
"How do you apply strength in your life?" and "How do you find success in your life?"
This post is based on an October 2014 New Era article called "How to Find Strength and Success" by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the article.

Elder Holland mentioned,

"Some of you know what you want to be and where you want to go with your lives, and some of you don’t. Some of you seem to have so many blessings and so many wonderful choices ahead of you. Others of you feel, for a time and for whatever reason, less fortunate and with fewer attractive paths lying immediately ahead.

But whoever you are and wherever you find yourself as you seek your way in life, I offer you “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Wherever else you think you may be going, I ask you to “come unto Him” (see Matthew 11:28–30) as the imperative first step in getting there, in finding your individual happiness and strength and success.

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. This is His true and living Church. He wishes us to come unto Him, to follow Him, to be comforted by Him. Then He wishes us to give comfort to others. May we have enough faith to accept the goodness of God and the mercy of His Only Begotten Son. May we come unto Him and His gospel and be healed."

If you want to, you can read the whole article in your own time. Here's the link below.
