This post is short and sweet. I felt somewhat inspired to share with you some of my notes from watching a wonderful Devotional that I liked, called "Truth and Tolerance" by Elder Dallin H. Oaks and his wife Sister Kristen M. Oaks. I was watching the Devotional sometime last year.
Sister Oaks mentioned,
"We need more goodness. We need more purity. Eternal truths to protect you.
1. The Lord loves you.
- Always remember Jesus Christ, be the best you can be, light attracts light
- The more attending Church, the more attending the Temple, and serve fulfilling your calling, you will be more happier
2. We are not saved from isolation.
- World brings truth
- Mosiah, chapter 4: verse 10.
3. Our responsibility is to become the best person you can be.
- Look in the best in every situation
- Life is a challenge
4. Learn to recognise the promptings from the Holy Ghost.
Women:
- Prepare for the future
- Look into long term consequences
Men:
- Be most valiant you can be
5. Everyone counts. Don't stand alone.
- Heavenly Father is aware of us. He knows us individually."
Elder Oaks mentioned,
"Twin towers of Truth and Tolerance
1st Truth - Heavenly Father's Plan, Plan of Salvation.
- We believe in all truth, we are willing for all truth.
- What is truth?
- We know evil exists
- All man made choices
- Rising generations
- Lovers of pleasures
- Stand up and speak up
2nd - Tolerance
- What is tolerance?
- When does it apply?
- When does it not apply?
60 years ago - the exposes was in magazines, books. Now - the exposes has expanded. The exposes are on the Internet, TV, etc"

I don't have a reasonable appropriate answer why I liked the Devotional. Everything that Elder Oaks and his wife Sister Oaks mentioned, was all true and common sense.
