Some Happiest Memories of 2015

I would like to share with you Some Happiest Memories of 2015.

April 15th, 2015 - I said my final goodbyes for my family for 6 weeks. I went to Perth, WA. Some life lessons learnt. General lessons learnt. A life changing experience ever!

April 17th, 2015 - My first Perth LDS Temple trip, I felt overjoyed and very happy.
I felt something different than I normally would feel whenever I was at Brisbane LDS Temple.

May 14th, 2015 - My Best Friend Sister Dixon text messaged when she received her Mission Call. I felt so happy.

September 6th, 2015 - I started my Mission Papers.
Every memory that I had whenever I received long emails from friends on their missions.
Every memory that I had whenever I received letters from friends on their missions.

Every memory that I had some time alone to reflect on my life and other things.
Every memory that I had with Sister Dixon before she left for her mission.

Almost every memory that I had whenever I knew what to say through letters and emails.
Almost every memory that I had whenever I went to Perth Temple and Brisbane Temple.
Almost every memory that I had whenever I went to YSA events such as YSA Activities.

Some Saddest Memories of 2015

I would to share with you Some Saddest Memories of 2015.

May 10th, 2015 - I didn't spend some time with my family for Mother's Day because I was still in Perth. The phone call conversation with Mum was short and somehow I felt like if I was a Sister Missionary.
May 25th, 2015 - It is not really saddest memory but I went on my last Double Date in Perth.

May 27th, 2015 - I said my final goodbyes to a non-member family who I really missed the most, and lived with them for the last 3 weeks in Perth. I wasn't ready to go back to Queensland.
July 27th, 2015 - I said my final goodbyes to my Best Friend Sister Dixon for 18 months.
I didn't want to say my final goodbyes for 18 months. I didn't want to let her go.
I am certain that she probably didn't want to say her final goodbyes either.

November 29th, 2015 - I had my first car accident.  I survived with two injuries.
The injuries was neck muscle strain and whiplash. My car is unrepairable.

In your free time, I encourage you to think about some saddest memories of 2015.
If some of those memories makes you cry, instantly stop thinking about it.

Goodbye Sister L Tuaputa for 18 Months

It was just 2 weeks ago today since our mutual friend Sister N Hannant left for her mission.
Isn't crazy to know that time has been going too fast, that this year is very close to finish?

My friend Sister L Tuaputa wouldn't be able to see this post until she comes home after her mission which isn't until June 2017. I wouldn't worry about it too much because I know that I can send her a few screenshots of this post via email.

I don't why but I always considered Sister Tuaputa as a close friend since after meeting her. I have been friends with her for 1 year and 5 months. If I remembered correctly, I think it was sometime after a Multistake Young Single Adult Fireside in July, last year.

The last time that I got to talk to her was via text messages on last night.
Above is my favourite photo of me and her and the photo was taken at the Temple.
Below is a letter that I would have written and given it to Sister Tuaputa before she left.

"Dear Sister Tuaputa,

I know you will be missed by your family and your other friends while you are gone.
I know that I will miss you during your mission but I will have to get over it.
I know that you already left for your mission this morning and I haven't cried.

I always loved and always will love our true friendship that we have for each other.
I always loved and always will love our conversations.
I always loved and always will love your support!

I hope that we both will be able to stay in touch throughout your mission and my mission.
I hope that I wouldn't cry whenever I miss you during your mission and my mission.

I am looking forward to read your emails about your mission experiences.
All the best during your mission. You will be a great Sister Missionary!

I love you heaps. I will see you in 2 years. Love from your friend, Megan Green."

New Week, New Goals and New Challenges

This post is short and sweet. I encourage you to think about the next following questions.

"Do you ever reflect of your previous week?"
"What did you achieved last week?"
"What was your goals last week?"
"What are your goals this week?"
Each week is a new week.
I hope you did think about the questions at the start. I always try my best to reflect my previous week, what was my goals and what I was able to achieved. I challenge you to write in a journal or somewhere that you can see it to "Name one thing that you would like to challenge yourself to do better this week." It could be anything, it could be a big thing and it could be a small thing.

This section is the readers attend Church. "Readers, do you always try to remember the Sacrament Prayers? Do you remember the part where it says we promised to remember the Saviour during the week. Are you doing it? Are you remembering the Saviour during your week? I always try my best to show others Christlike Attributes and I know it is not always easy."

Other readers, I encourage you to attend Church often even if you haven't been to Church for ages. Church shouldn't be boring. Church should be great!

Overview of My Boxing Day

Overview of last Boxing Day before Full Time Mission,
Overview of My Boxing Day 2015

You may ask me, "How was your Boxing Day?" "Was it any good?" and "Was it any fun?"

Today was Boxing Day. Not only it was Boxing Day; it's my sister Emma's Birthday, my Close Friend Sofronaiia's Birthday and my 2 other friend's Birthday. Today was a good and fun day.

This morning; I gave Emma her Birthday present which was Scrapbook pages, stickers, etc.
Also this morning; I drove myself, my sisters Emma and Rebekah to my cousin Emily's house.
From Emily's house; my sisters and I went with Emily to go to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

We spent some hours together at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. Emily and Emma got some things because there was many Sales and I only purchased lunch for me and Rebekah today.
After the time of shopping, Emily took me and my sisters to her house. Emma drove her, me and Rebekah home safely. Once I arrived home, I was doing some things and I had my room door shut.

I would like to share with you one of the things that I did. So one of the things that I did before the Sister Missionaries arrived, I had a great phone call conversation to one of my close friends who I met during the End of Year YSA Convention last year.

I didn't expect her to answer, the conversation was suppose to last for 5 minutes but it ended up lasting almost 20 minutes. The Sister Missionaries knocked on my bedroom door.
I was thinking "What now?" because I thought it was my Mum but it was the Missionaries.

They surprised me. I didn't even notice when they arrived here. They quickly left and hide away from me as I opened the door. Very sneaky Sister Missionaries! Me and the Sister Missionaries talked for about 20 minutes or so.

Happy Boxing Day Readers! In your own time, I encourage you to overview your Boxing Day and think about the following questions; "How was your Boxing Day?" "Was it any good?"
"Was it productive?" and "Was it any fun?"

Overview of My Christmas

Overview of My Christmas for Year 2015

I received a few surprise Skype Calls from my friend Sister Olive and I wasn't able to answer none of them because I had technical difficulties on my laptop. I was able to Skype video call her by using my phone and we talked for a minute. She finishes her mission sometime in May 2016 and she is serving in Philippines Baguio Mission.

I look forward of emailing Sister Olive next Monday for thanking her for the skype calls. The skype calls has made me happy and I was able to chat with her via Skype messages for about 30 minutes during the time when she was skyping her Mum. Today was my last Christmas at Home before I leave for my Mission. All of my Christmas gifts will come handy and used during my Mission.
This Christmas might be my last summer Christmas and I hope my Mission will be a winter Christmas because I think it will be an amazing experience. Overall my Christmas was good.
I look forward to next year's Christmas already.

To end of my Christmas, I was able to talk to one of my friends from Convention last year.
It was great from hearing from her. I haven't seen her and heard from her since last year's end of Young Single Adult Convention finished. I am looking forward to catching up with her sometime before I leave for my Mission.

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas.
I encourage you to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Happy Christmas Eve!

This post is short and sweet. Happy Christmas Eve Readers!

Today is my final Christmas Eve at home before I leave for my Full-Time Mission.
I still remember what I did on the evening of last Christmas Eve.

I was spending Christmas Eve with Sister Dixon and Elder Stockman at Elder Stockman's house. I gave them both a Christmas Present each and it was 100ml perfumes. They loved it.
We got some photos together. We also played games of Pool.
Above is a few photos from last Christmas Eve.

It was our last memory together because Elder Stockman was leaving for his mission on New Years, me and Sister Dixon was leaving within the next few days to go to end of year Young Single Adult Convention. I went to the Perth one and Sister Dixon went to the Sydney one.

This Christmas Eve evening, I will be staying at home and I will be wrapping up presents.
I also will be reflecting on my life and I will be thinking about the true meaning of Christmas.
If you have a few minutes, I encourage you to think about the true meaning of Christmas.

Strengthen by the Atonement of Jesus Christ

This post is based on a recent General Conference talk called "Strengthen by the Atonement of Jesus Christ by Dallin H. Oaks."

I loved the subheading and it says "Because of His Atonement, the Savior has the power to succor to help every mortal pain and affliction."

I would like to share with you some highlights that I love while reading the talk.
"Our Savior experienced and suffered the fulness of all mortal challenges “according to the flesh” so He could know “according to the flesh” how to “succor [which means to give relief or aid to] his people according to their infirmities.”

He therefore knows our struggles, our heartaches, our temptations, and our suffering, for He willingly experienced them all as an essential part of His Atonement. And because of this, His Atonement empowers Him to succor us to give us the strength to bear it all."

We and those we love suffer sickness. At some time each of us also experiences pain from traumatic injuries or from other physical or mental difficulties. All of us suffer and grieve in connection with the death of a loved one. We all experience failure in our personal responsibilities, our family relationships, or our occupations.

When a spouse or a child rejects what we know to be true and strays from the path of righteousness, we experience particularly stressful pain, just like the father of the prodigal son in Jesus’s memorable parable (see Luke 15:11–32).

As the Psalmist declared, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).

The word people has many meanings in the scriptures. The meaning most appropriate for the teaching that the Savior will succor “his people” is the meaning Ammon employed when he taught that “God is mindful of every people, whatsoever land they may be in” (Alma 26:37). That is also what the angels meant when they announced the birth of the Christ child: “Good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” (Luke 2:10).

Because of His atoning experience in mortality, our Savior is able to comfort, heal, and strengthen all men and women everywhere, but I believe He does so only for those who seek Him and ask for His help. The Apostle James taught, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (James 4:10). We qualify for that blessing when we believe in Him and pray for His help.

There are millions of God fearing people who pray to God to be lifted out of their afflictions. Our Savior has revealed that He “descended below all things” (D&C 88:6). As Elder Neal A. Maxwell taught, “Having ‘descended below all things,’ He comprehends, perfectly and personally, the full range of human suffering.” We might even say that having descended beneath it all, He is perfectly positioned to lift us and give us the strength we need to endure our afflictions. We have only to ask."

Be Patient with the Lord and His Timing

I really enjoyed and learnt a lot during a recent phone call from my close friend named Jalisa. She has given me some great advices, I really loved and appreciated the advices from her.
I would like to share with you, one of the main things that I have learnt during the call.
That one main thing was based on "Being patient with the Lord and his timing."
I encourage you to think about the following two questions in your own time.
"What does it mean to you to be patient with the Lord and his timing?"
"How can you show your patience with the Lord and his timing?"

I felt that sometimes I was showing lack of being patient with the Lord's timing because there was some things that I want it to happen in my time and not in the Lord's timing.

I also felt that sometimes I was not showing enough patience with the Lord. For 2 examples: Sometimes I didn't wait for him to answer my personal prayers when I needed the answers.
Sometimes I didn't take the time and say a prayer to ask if what my friend said, was true.

I would like to share with you a few things that I have learnt while listening about this topic.
Some things are worth the wait in the Lord's timing and the Lord's timing is always best.
I need to put more trust in the Lord and his timing that things will work out.
I need to show more patience with the Lord and his timing always.

The Choice is Yours

We all have Agency. What is Agency?
Agency is the ability and privilege God gives us to choose and to act for ourselves.
This post is based on a Ensign Article in March 2007 called "Prophet, Church Leaders Counsel Youth at Fireside by Stephanie Long."
Gordon B. Hinckley says Be smart. “You need all the education you can get. You should sacrifice anything that is needed to be sacrificed to qualify yourselves to do the work of the world. Train your mind and your hands to become an influence for good as you go forward with your life.”

Be Prayerful. “None of us can do it alone. Prayer will change your life. It will bring you peace. It will give you direction and guidance. It will help you feel that you are not alone in this big and sometimes brutal world. The Lord answers our prayers. I know that.”

Sister Tanner said that virtuous thought would invite the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and one could find confidence and comfort in such a companionship. Sharing a personal story, she spoke of a time when she was struggling with despair, yet found comfort in thinking positive thoughts.

“I concentrated on three things: Finals will be over in three weeks. I know my family loves me. And I know Heavenly Father loves me. These thoughts elevated me enough to feel the comfort and guidance of the Holy Ghost through a difficult time.”

Everyone struggles with hard times, everyone needs to be rescued from time to time, but everyone has a loving Heavenly Father who is always there, Sister Tanner said. Personally living by the motto “I can do hard things,” Sister Tanner encouraged all the youth to resolve to let virtue garnish their thoughts unceasingly, that their confidence may wax strong in the presence of God."

Be Thankful for Many Things

This post is short and sweet. I really love the Image below and I can always relate to it.
I know some people ask themselves "What things should I be thankful for?" often.
Sometimes it can be hard what things to be thankful for.
Sometimes it can be easy to think about what things to be thankful for.

I have some things listed for what you can be thankful for;
You can be thankful for your Close Friends. You can be thankful for your Best Friends.
You can be thankful for your Church Leaders. You can be thankful for the Prophet.
You can be thankful for someone telling you that they care about you.

You can be thankful for Jesus Christ. You can be thankful for Heavenly Father.
You can be thankful for your True Friends. You can be thankful for your Family.
You can be thankful for someone telling you that they love you.

You can be thankful for your Life. You can be thankful for someone's testimony.
You can be thankful for someone's support for you.

There are many other things that I can be think of, but it is too many to share.
I encourage you to think about the other things that You can be thankful for in your own time. Always remember this "There is always, always, ALWAYS something to be thankful for."

You Raised Me Up

It may seem hard to acknowledge on the things that was great has occurred when I was younger. I must say "As each year goes by, I kept looking back and thinking about the greatest things that Heavenly Father has given me. He has given me so much."
Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me opportunities to improve my trust in him. Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me strength.

Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me opportunities to become close to my family. Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me faith.

Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me more chances.
Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me endless love.
Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me happiness.

Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me courage.
Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me comfort.

Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me support.
Many times in life, I felt Heavenly Father's presence by giving me hope.

"I can testify to you that I believe Heavenly Father has given you opportunities to improve your trust in him, given you strength, opportunities to become close to your family, giving you faith, giving you more chances, giving you endless love, giving you happiness, giving you courage, giving you comfort, giving you support, giving you hope and other great things if you allow him to. Sometimes it may seem hard to acknowledge those things straight away.

Some things may take a short time and it feels like it happens within a day or a few weeks.
Some things may take a long time and it feels like forever.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

Happy Birthday Serene

Happy Birthday to my amazing friend Serene and I hope she had a wonderful day!
You may ask me, "When was the first time when you saw Serene?" and "What was the occasion?"

For the first time seeing Serene, it was at a Multistake YSA Dance almost 4 years ago.
The theme for the dance was something to do with dress up as your favourite superhero.
I still remember taking some photos during the dance and after the dance.

I remembered some of the Young Single Adults dressed up as cops, superman, superwoman, main characters from Avengers, etc for the evening and one of my friends (who I also met during the evening) dressed up as Minnie Mouse. I chose not to dress up.

I don't think I have met Serene during the dance, but I have noticed that me and her became Facebook Friends sometime after the dance but the same month when the dance was on.

You may ask me, "When did you and Serene officially first met?"

We didn't officially first met each other until I arrived at her house in April this year.
I was dropped off by my friend Laura Mackwell after staying at Laura's house for 5 days.

You may ask me, "What is 2 favourite memories with Serene and why?"

I must admit my first favourite memory was when was when me and her went to Seascapes Beach with Willow. It was my favourite memory because it was my first time going to a Beach in Western Australia.

My second favourite memory was when I was helping with Serene by taking the stickers off at the bottom of the candle containers. It was my favourite memory because it was my last visit to see her before I left for Bunbury and because it was a fun memory to remember.

Serene, if you are reading this post right now;
"Hey Serene! Happy Birthday and I hope that you had a wonderful Birthday! Thank you for being my friend and I really appreciate our friendship. Thank you for allowing me to staying over at your house for a few days and nights in April, this year. I miss you heaps.

I don't know when but I hope we can see each other and catch up sometime."

The Cokeville Miracle Movie

This post is short and sweet.

About 2 to 3 months ago, I got the chance to watch a trailer to "The Cokeville Miracle."
As I was watching the trailer, I decided that I really want to watch the movie one day.

I kept watching the trailer often until I noticed that the full movie is uploaded on Youtube.
I decided to watch the movie today and I am very grateful that I did, It was a great movie.
Throughout the movie, it has shared many strong and uplifting messages to the viewers.
I definitely recommend for anyone to watch the movie in their own time.

If you would like to know about the movie, I encourage you to watch the trailer.
If you can't see the video above, here's the link below.

Below is a Image of my favourite quote and it is from the movie.
I even considered myself a miracle each day and each night throughout my life so far.
I always try to live my life like everything is a miracle. You are a miracle even times when you don't see it. Please don't think that I am just saying it.

If you decide to watch the movie, here's a link below to the movie.

Why Do We Need a Savior?

I encourage you to ask yourself and think about this question "Why do we need a Savior?" throughout this post. You may ask me, "Why do you need a Savior?"
"If I was to explain why I need a Savior briefly to you, I know I wouldn't be able to do that.
I know that you wouldn't be able to explain why you need a Savior briefly to me. Am I right?

I would like to share with you my testimony based on this topic.

I would love to bare my testimony that I know sometimes in this life, it is hard to understand why we need a Savior. We may not fully acknowledge all of it now in this life but we can think about what he has done for us.

There are many reasons why I need a Savior each day and each night of my life.
In this life, I know that he has given me chances. I know that he has given you chances too.
I know that he has given me comfort. I know that he has given you comfort too.
I know that he has given me strength. I know that he has given you strength too.
I know that he has given me support. I know that he has given you support too.

I know that he has given me hope. I know that he has given you hope too.
I know that he has given me peace. I know that he has given you peace too.
I know that he has given me and you more things than we can't think of.

In this life, I know that he fully understand all of my decisions.
I know that he fully understand all of your decisions too.
I know that he fully understand all of my emotions.
I know that he fully understand all of your emotions too.

I know that he fully understand all of my strengths.
I know that he fully understand all of your strengths too.
I know that he fully understand all of my weaknesses.
I know that he fully understand all of your weaknesses too.

I leave these things are true. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

Goodbye Sister N Hannant for 18 Months

My friend Sister N Hannant wouldn't be able to see this post until she comes home after her mission which isn't until June 2017 or July 2017. I wouldn't worry about it too much because I can always send her a screenshot of this post via email.

I don't why but I always considered Sister Hannant as a close friend since after meeting her. If I remembered correctly, I think when I first met Sister Hannant was at a Multistake Young Single Adult Fireside sometime in November last year and she was with my Best Friend Sister M Dixon.

My first memory with Sister Hannant is slowly fading away which really sucks. However I am grateful for getting in photos with her before she left for her mission.

I would like to share with you three photos of me and her together.
1st photo was taken after a Multistake YSA Fireside in February this year.
2nd photo was taken during Multistake YSA Ball in July, this year.
3rd photo was taken after her farewell talk a few weeks ago/in November, this year.
Some Memories Before Sister Hannant left for her mission;
We attended some Multistake YSA Firesides, we attended some Multistake YSA Dances,
we attended a Multistake YSA Ball, we both our mutual friend Lina's Mission Call Opening, and
I attended Sister Hannant's farewell talk.

Below is a letter that I would have written and given it to Sister Hannant before she left.

"Dear Sister Hannant,

I know you will be missed by your family and your other friends while you are gone.
I know that I will miss you during your mission but I will have to get over it.
I know that you already left for your mission this morning and I haven't cried.

I always loved and always will love our true friendship.
I always loved and always will love our conversations.
I always loved and always will your support!

I hope that we both will be able to stay in touch throughout your mission.
I hope that I wouldn't cry whenever I miss you during your mission.

I am looking forward to read your emails about your mission experiences.
All the best during your mission. You will be a great Sister Missionary!

Ask, Seek. Knock

This post is based on October 2009 General Conference talk called "Ask, Seek, Knock by Russell M. Nelson." I would like to share with you some highlights while reading the talk.
"For each of you to receive revelation unique to your own needs and responsibilities, certain guidelines prevail. The Lord asks you to develop “faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God.”

Then with your firm “faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility, [and] diligence,” you may ask, and you will receive; you may knock, and it will be opened unto you.

Revelation from God is always compatible with His eternal law. It never contradicts His doctrine. It is facilitated by proper reverence for Deity. The Master gave this instruction:

“I, the Lord, am merciful and gracious unto those who fear me, and delight to honor those who serve me in righteousness and in truth unto the end.

“Great shall be their reward and eternal shall be their glory.

“… To them will I reveal all mysteries [and] my will concerning all things pertaining to my kingdom.”

Revelation need not all come at once. It may be incremental. “Saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more.” Patience and perseverance are part of our eternal progression.

Prophets have described what they felt while receiving revelation. Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery reported that “the veil was taken from our minds, and the eyes of our understanding were opened.”

President Joseph F. Smith wrote, “As I pondered over these things which are written, the eyes of my understanding were opened, and the Spirit of the Lord rested upon me.”

I encourage you to read this talk in your own time. Here's the link below.

Walk with Me

This post is based on October 1994 General Conference talk called "Walk with Me by Elaine L. Jack." I would like to share with you some highlights while I was reading the talk.
President Spencer W. Kimball promised, “It may seem a little difficult at first, but when a person begins to catch a vision of the true work, when he begins to see something of eternity in its true perspective, the blessings begin to far outweigh the cost of leaving ‘the world’ behind” (Ensign, June 1976, p. 6).

Some of our steps come in learning that the path is indeed straight and narrow. The concept of a straight path intrigues me. So often we go around in a circle, spinning our spiritual wheels while only our temporal treads hit the road. That seems out of step and out of balance with the way the Lord intended. We have knowledge and spiritual power; such momentum far exceeds anything the world has to offer. Putting off to tomorrow is to fall behind, step backward, and open the door to the subtle influences of Satan. “There is no such thing as standing still in the eternal work of our God” (George Q. Cannon, Millennial Star, 23 Feb. 1899, p. 117).

Elder Neal A. Maxwell has said, “There are no separate paths back to that heavenly home. Just one straight and narrow way, at the end of which, though we arrive trailing tears, we shall at once be ‘drenched in joy’” (Ensign, May 1978, p. 11).

Indeed, the path is not soft, green grass; it is not without hardship and heartache. It is often an uphill climb strewn with rocks, many of them in the shape of mighty boulders. We can’t predict what our challenges will be because our lives are all different. Though the path is narrow, our moves are not scripted. There are diversions which attempt to lure us from the straight and narrow. It is our covenants that are the road signs to eternal life. Just as it is more difficult to read the signs on the main road from a side street, so too it is more difficult to hear the still, small voice of warnings, rough road ahead, when we have distanced ourselves from our covenants.

When the Lord says “walk with me” (Moses 6:34), He is asking us to become more spiritual by being obedient to His word. Developing spirituality is critical to our eternal progress.

Our prophet has spoken for the Lord in our day, and his messages have been explicit: rid your heart of pride; read the Book of Mormon every day. In following that counsel, I discover new insights suddenly appearing in my Book of Mormon which are so pertinent to my immediate needs.

We’ve been given tools to develop that spirituality. We are told to attend Church meetings, work hard in callings, go to the temple, be generous in offerings to the Lord, hold family home evening, and visit one another. But simply being there does not sanctify us; statistics do not drive eternal progression. Still, we cannot ignore that being in the right place at the right time will put us in a frame of mind to learn, in an environment where the Lord’s influence is invited and strong.

We know why we are here. When we are on the path, we can feel it. The fruits of eternal progress are manifest in joy, peace, love, hope, increased confidence in the Lord. Though the path is narrow, it is sure. It is on this path that we testify daily of our love for the Lord, His children, His church, His counsel, and the richness of His blessings. By our good works we magnify what is mighty in us all, one step at a time, one day at a time, all the time.

Service Brings Joy

I know there are two sides about doing service. One side, doing service is fun and exciting.
The other side, doing service is hard and enduring work.

This post contains bits and pieces from 2 New Era Articles.
This post also contains bits and pieces from 1 Ensign Article.
This post also contains bits and pieces from 1 General Conference talk.
All from Thomas S. Monson.
“To find real happiness, we must seek for it in a focus outside ourselves,” President Thomas S. Monson teaches. “No one has learned the meaning of living until he has surrendered his ego to the service of his fellow man. Service to others is akin to duty, the fulfillment of which brings true joy.”

Reach Outward
“We do not live alone in our city, our nation, or our world,” President Monson says. “There is no dividing line between our prosperity and our neighbor’s wretchedness.  ‘Love thy neighbor’ is more than a divine truth. It is a pattern for perfection. This truth inspires the familiar charge, ‘Go forth to serve.’  Try as some of us may, we cannot escape the influence our lives have upon the lives of others. Ours is the opportunity to build, to lift, to inspire, and indeed to lead. The New Testament teaches that it is impossible to take a right attitude toward Christ without taking an unselfish attitude toward men.”

Lose Ourselves in Service
He also calls upon all people to follow the example of Jesus Christ. “The Savior taught His disciples, ‘For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.’

“I believe the Savior is telling us that unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own lives. Those who live only for themselves eventually shrivel up and figuratively lose their lives, while those who lose themselves in service to others grow and flourish and in effect save their lives.”

Be a Sincere Friend
President Monson quotes the 16th president of the United States. “Abraham Lincoln offered this wise counsel, which surely applies to home teachers: ‘If you would win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are his sincere friend.’

“A friend makes more than a dutiful visit each month. A friend is more concerned about helping people than getting credit. A friend cares. A friend loves. A friend listens. A friend reaches out.”

Communicate Heart to Heart
“Often we live side by side but do not communicate heart to heart,” President Monson says. “There are those within the sphere of our own influence who, with outstretched hands, cry out, ‘Is there no balm in Gilead?’”

“I am confident it is the intention of each member of the Church to serve and to help those in need. How often have you intended to be the one to help? And yet how often has day-to-day living interfered and you’ve left it for others to help, feeling that ‘oh, surely someone will take care of that need.’”

Trust in the Lord
And President Monson encourages us to trust in the Lord as we serve. “Occasionally discouragement may darken our pathway; frustration may be a constant companion. In our ears there may sound the sophistry of Satan as he whispers, ‘you cannot save the world; your small efforts are meaningless. You haven’t time to be concerned for others.’

“Trusting in the Lord, let us turn our heads from such falsehoods and make certain our feet are firmly planted in the path of service and our hearts and souls dedicated to follow the example of the Lord. In moments when the light of resolution dims and when the heart grows faint, we can take comfort from His promise: ‘Be not weary in well-doing. Out of small things proceedeth that which is great’” (Doctrine and Covenants 64:33).

We Never Walk Alone

This post is based on a October 2013 General Relief Society Meeting talk called
"We Never Walk Alone by Thomas S. Monson."

"You will one day stand aside and look at your difficult times, and you will realize that He was always there beside you." - Subheading states.
We were not placed on this earth to walk alone. What an amazing source of power, of strength, and of comfort is available to each of us. He who knows us better than we know ourselves, He who sees the larger picture and who knows the end from the beginning, has assured us that He will be there for us to provide help if we but ask.

We have the promise: “Pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good.” Of course, prayer is not just for times of trouble.

Allied with prayer in helping us cope in our often difficult world is scripture study. The words of truth and inspiration found in our four standard works are prized possessions to me. I never tire of reading them. I am lifted spiritually whenever I search the scriptures. These holy words of truth and love give guidance to my life and point the way to eternal perfection.

As we read and ponder the scriptures, we will experience the sweet whisperings of the Spirit to our souls. We can find answers to our questions. We learn of the blessings which come through keeping God’s commandments. We gain a sure testimony of our Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of Their love for us. When scripture study is combined with our prayers, we can of a certainty know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

Said President Gordon B. Hinckley, “May the Lord bless each of us to feast upon his holy [words] and to draw from [them] that strength, that peace, [and] that knowledge ‘which passeth all understanding’ (Philip. 4:7).”

As we remember prayer and take time to turn to the scriptures, our lives will be infinitely more blessed and our burdens will be made lighter."

In your own time, you can read the whole talk. Here's the link below,

I testify that I know that Heavenly Father will never leave you. He is always by your side. You need to put your full trust and faith in him everyday and every night. Tell him that you are grateful for him to be apart of your life. He will always pick you up when you fall down. He always provide ways when you think there is no way. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Finding the Way Back

This post is based on a talk from Richard G. Scott on April 1990 General Conference.
I loved everything that he said throughout the talk. I would love to share with you the highlights that I love while reading the post.

He mentions, "Do you find that when someone mentions the mistakes you’re making, you are prone to lie about them, to indicate that they are much less severe than they truly are?
Do you admit only to what is publicly seen and try to hide from others how really bad conditions are? Worst of all, do you lie to yourself, pretending that things are all right when they are not?

That attitude prevents you from getting the help you need. It provides an invitation to more serious problems. When you are honest with yourself, you may feel afraid. To change will require you to take an unfamiliar path, and it is uphill and narrow.

The other is so inviting, but it leads to heartache. None of your partners in error will help you onto the upward path. They think only of themselves. You know the result of following their path unhappiness, failure, disappointment, and greater fear. They don’t love you. They want to use you. Don’t listen to them.

Lucifer will do all in his power to keep you captive. You are familiar with his strategy. He whispers: “No one will ever know.” “Just one more time.” “You can’t change; you have tried before and failed.” “It’s too late; you have gone too far.” Don’t let him discourage you."

It relates to us because we all need to be honest to ourselves especially when we feel afraid to tell the truth. We receive great blessings for telling the truth.

In your own time, I encourage you to read the talk. Here's the link below.

No Pain and No Trial is Wasted

This post is short and sweet.

Why do we suffer pain in this life? Why do we experience trials in this life?
We suffer pain and we experience trials in this life because it is part of life.

In your free time, I encourage you to think about Jesus Christ for 3 to 5 minutes.
He suffered for all of our sins. He knows how we feel each day and each night.
I love the Image above. Pain makes us stronger. Trials makes us stronger.
I think we should be reminded about what the Image says each day and each night.
Think about the greatest advantages that you are grateful for during this life so far.

I would like to share with you a few greatest advantages that I am grateful for:
I have loving, caring and supportive family, best friends, close friends and true friends.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints/Mormon.
I have Agency, knowing that there is always consequences after each action.

Come Join With Us

This post is based on a October 2013, General Conference talk "Come Join Us by Dieter F. Uchtdorf." I will share with you some of the highlights that I love while reading the talk.

Subheading was "Regardless of your circumstances, your personal history, or the strength of your testimony, there is room for you in this Church."
“I suppose the Church would only be perfect if it were run by perfect beings. God is perfect, and His doctrine is pure. But He works through us His imperfect children and imperfect people make mistakes.”

Speaking to “those who have separated themselves from the Church,” President Uchtdorf said, “Come, and add your talents, gifts, and energies to ours. We will all become better as a result.”

He said it is natural to have questions or doubts. “Faith is to hope for things which are not seen, but which are true (Alma 32:21),” he said.

Some, he said, don’t think they fit in with the people in the Church. “If you could see into our hearts, you would probably find that you fit in better than you suppose.”

And some wonder if they can live up to the Church’s standards. ”All the more reason to come,” President Uchtdorf said. “The Church is designed to nourish the imperfect, the struggling and the exhausted. It is filled with people who desire with all their heart to keep the commandments, even if they haven’t mastered them yet.”

He said that in spite of our human imperfections, he is confident that among the members of the Church are many of the finest souls this world has to offer. “In this age of waning faith in this age where so many feel distanced from heaven’s embrace here you will find a people who yearn to know and draw closer to their Savior by serving God and fellowmen, just like you. Come, join with us!”

Don't Limit Yourself

This post is short and sweet.

Readers, I encourage you all to not limit yourselves because you can always get yourself involve in great activities and always having memories even when the activities doesn't look fun and exciting.
What does the Image means to you?
What does "Don't limit yourself" means to you?

I will give you a few minutes to think about it and then ask yourself.t
You may ask me what does "Don't limit yourself" means to me.

Well "Don't limit yourself" means to me, don't limit myself to do things because I might be able to.do things that I don't expect myself to do and giving new things a go. For having Heavenly Father's help, love, support and guidance each day, anything is possible for me. Therefore, I don't need to limit myself with anything.

Always remember to believe in yourself that you can give new things a go. Start something new that you haven't done before! It can be anything. Don't be afraid! Fight over your fears today with anything!

Satan is the one who makes us to feel fear and sometimes it can be a natural man too! I encourage you all to remember the quote that I have shared with you!

Look Up

This post is based on a Article in January 2012 called "Look Up by Elder Carl B. Cook." I enjoyed reading the Article. I would like to share with you some highlights that I loved during reading the Article.
He was sharing one of his experiences as a young Missionary; He noticed that the others in his district were progressing much faster than he was. Long story short, "I began to plead with Heavenly Father for some relief. The Lord answered that prayer.

I felt this thought come into my mind: “I never called you to master the German language. I just called you to serve with all of your heart, mind, and strength.”

I immediately thought, “I can do that. I can serve with all of my heart, mind, and strength. If that’s what the Lord has called me to do, I can do that.” I stood up feeling tremendously relieved. Instead, I focused on how the Lord felt I was doing.

Instead of looking to the side to compare myself to others, I began to look up, so to speak, to know what He thought of my efforts." How do we “look up”?

He shared a description for each principle that can help. I will share with you what they are, but not the description for each of them.

- Tap into Spiritual Power
- Stay True to the Direction You Receive
- Don’t Be Afraid to Act
- Stand by Your Post
- Look Heavenward"

In your own time, you can read the whole talk, Here's the link below,
www.lds.org/ensign/2012/01/look-up

We all need to look up instead of looking down and sideways. We need to seek help from Heavenly Father and trusting in ourselves that we can look up again and be happy again.

Recognise, Remember and Give Thanks

There are many things that you could thank for. This post is based on a Liahona Article called "Recognize, Remember, and Give Thanks by Henry B. Eyring."

I found a Image that will go well with this post.
I will be sharing with you some highlights.

"God asks that we give thanks to Him for whatever blessings we receive from Him. It is easy for us to become mechanical in our prayers of gratitude, often repeating the same words but without the intent to give our thanks as a gift of the heart to God. We are to “give thanks in the Spirit” (Doctrine and Covenants 46:32) so we can feel real gratitude for what God has given us.

How can we remember even a part of all God has done for us? The Apostle John recorded what the Savior taught us about a gift of remembrance that comes through the gift of the Holy Ghost: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26).

The Holy Ghost brings back memories of what God has taught us. And one of the ways God teaches us is with His blessings; and so, if we choose to exercise faith, the Holy Ghost will bring God’s kindnesses to our remembrance. You could test that in prayer today. You could follow the command “Thou shalt thank the Lord thy God in all things” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:7).

You could have such an experience with the gift of the Holy Ghost today. You could begin a private prayer with thanks. You could start to count your blessings and then pause for a moment. If you exercise faith, with the gift of the Holy Ghost, you will find that memories of other blessings will flood into your mind. If you begin to express gratitude for each of them, your prayer may take a little longer than usual. Remembrance will come, and so will gratitude."

Prepare Yourselves for Missionary Service

Readers, there is nothing wrong of having a desire and there is nothing wrong of having no desire to serve a mission.
This post is shortly based on a Priesthood Session talk on April 1985 called "Prepare Yourselves for Missionary Service by Ezra Taft Benson." I will modify some words that it will relate to you. I will share with you some highlights that I love.

"Let me suggest four ways that you young women can prepare now for your missions"

First, prepare yourselves physically.

A eighteen mission today requires good physical health. It requires that you keep your body clean. In your early teenage years, when temptations come to you to take things into your body which are unsuitable, have the courage to resist. Live the Word of Wisdom - no smoking, no drinking of any alcoholic beverages, and no drugs. Keep your body pure.

Stay morally clean. This means that you keep a clean mind. Your thoughts will determine your actions, and so they must be controlled. It’s difficult to control those thoughts if you submit yourself to temptation. So you will have to carefully select your reading material, the movies you see, and the other forms of entertainment in order to have good thoughts rather than unwholesome desires.

Second, prepare yourselves mentally. A mission requires a great deal of mental preparation. You must memorize missionary discussions, memorise scriptures, and ofttimes learn a new language. The discipline to do this is learned in your early years.

Establish now the daily practice of reading the scriptures ten to fifteen minutes each day. If you do so, by the time you reach the mission field, you will have read all four of the standard works. I urge you to read particularly the Book of Mormon so that you can testify of its truthfulness as the Lord has directed.

Third, prepare yourselves socially. A mission requires that you get along with others. You must get along with your companion, who is with you twenty-four hours a day. You must learn to meet people and be gracious and practice good manners. One of the greatest assets that a person has in life is the ability to make friends. When you make a friend of a person, you can teach him the gospel.

Fourth, prepare yourselves spiritually. A spiritual person obeys all the Lord’s commandments. He prays to our Heavenly Father, and he gives service to others.

Yes, young women, prepare now. Prepare yourselves physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Always be obedient to authority. Start a savings account for your mission if you haven’t done so already. Pay your tithing, and seek a testimony of the gospel through study and prayer."

Bring About Great Things

I was looking at a website and it was about LDS Kids learning scriptures. It was a great website to have a look around. The link is below;
www.someoneinmind.blogspot.com/p/lds-kids-read-scriptures.html

What does the scripture means to you?

As for me, it means that by small things to Heavenly Father, will turn those small things into great things. Sometimes, those small things turn into big things. For an example, when we were younger talking to our parents about little things at a time, as we got older, we got to know more words and bigger words. We talk to our parents about big things.

Heavenly Father knows those little things like stepping stones at a time that will make a huge difference one day. Another example will be when we first started our testimonies, it's always used to be short. As we got older, we were able to experience heaps of new things, we were able to build and strengthen our testimonies and bigger and better.

We all start somewhere in our life with a starting point, throughout time with progressing, we get better at doing things, we able to learn more things to understand of what they mean. Always remember great things happened when those little things start.

Some Bad Days to Earn the Best Days

I had no idea what to post today until I really thought about what to post while I was looking at Images that I already have on my laptop. I loved the Image below.
Readers, it is so true. It is like saying "If things doesn't work out, we always can reach to Heavenly Father through consistent content and sincere prayer. We must understand that he has better plans for us. He knows what is best for us, and he is trying to keep us happy."

Everything will be alright, even when we go through trails, tribulations and struggles each day. We always have to go through the bad days first, then receive the best days of our lives.

When we have bad days, we can do the following. We can always ..
-  read the past General Conference talks based on trails, tribulations, struggles, etc
- read over our journals of how we were overcome those bad days in the past
- talk to our true friends about what we are going through
- read the New Eras articles based on trails, tribulations, struggles, etc
- read Ensigns articles based on trails, tribulations, struggles, etc
- pray to Heavenly Father to comfort us,
- read our scriptures.
